Rosalyn IngBio

An Elder of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation in Northern Manitoba, Rosalyn was a leader in social justice and education for Indigenous people in Canada. Rosalyn’s master’s and doctoral research focused on the inter-generational trauma Indigenous people experienced at the Indian residential schools. Rosalyn was able to effect positive change and push for reconciliation for this dark chapter in Canadian history. She has been a beacon and inspiration to many Indigenous youth and women-of-colour. She was the Coordinator of the First Nations Health Careers starting from 1994 to 2003. In 2012 Rosalyn became the Recipient of Queen’s Jubilee Diamond medal.
