Dr. Linc KeslerBio

Established First Nations and Indigenous Studies Program and is an Associate Professor Emeritus, English and First Nations and Indigenous Studies. He is a Senior Advisor to the President on Indigenous Affairs. He led the establishment of the Indian Residential School History & Dialogue Centre at UBC, starting in 2011 to its opening in 2018. He also established the Indigenous Foundations website and developed the 2009 Aboriginal Strategic Plan. His research work focused on the relationship between technological change and the representation of knowledge, a topic vital to strategizing the survival of Indigenous communities, and in developing uses of emerging technologies to serve the needs of Indigenous communities.
